Application Guidelines

Application Temperature:
40°F to 100°F. Approved for use at outside temperature of 0°F while maintaining a chemical and can temperature between 40°F and 115°F.
Service Temperature Range:
-20°F to 250°F
Working Time:
Approximately 10-20 minutes.
Prep:
Product is extremely flammable during dispensing. Read cautions carefully. Surfaces must be clean and free of any material that may prevent adequate adhesion. Wear protective glasses or goggles, nitrile gloves and clothing that protects against dermal exposure. Use only in a well-ventilated area.
Application:
Screw can onto gun coupling until it will go no further. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Grip can and gun with both hands and shake vigorously for 30-60 seconds. Adjust bead with gun regulator screw to produce between 1/4’’ to 1/2’’ bead. Apply continuous bead of adhesive to studs or furring strips. Where two panels join, apply a zigzag bead so adhesive will contact both panels. Adhere materials within 10-20 minutes based on environmental conditions. Press surfaces firmly together for full contact with adhesive. Note: For drywall, use fasteners in accordance with local building standards. For paneling or other large applications, use finishing nails at top and bottom, and brace overnight as needed. When applying adhesive overhead for ceiling applications, use 3/8’’ bead or less.
Cleanup:
Uncured adhesive may be removed with Titebond Foam Cleaner. If dried, removal will require scraping or other mechanical means.
Storage:
To store for short periods of time, close gun regulator screw completely to secure trigger. Can MUST remain fastened to gun during storage. Store upright in a dry area and use remainder of can within 30 days. If can is removed, replace with cleaner or another adhesive can immediately and spray enough cleaner or adhesive to remove any air that entered the gun. Failure to remove this air will cause residual adhesive in the gun to cure and can lead to gun failure.
Limitations:
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT CONTENTS ARE MIXED THOROUGHLY. AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 65°F, DOUBLE SHAKING TIMES. If can temperature falls below 40°F, gradually bring the can back to room temperature before shaking, prior to application. Not designed for continuous submersion. When using on non-porous substrates, mist with water to speed curing.
