TITEBOND SUBFLOOR FOAM CONSTRUCTION ADHESIVE

Titebond® Subfloor Polyurethane Foam Construction Adhesive is a professional strength, collapsing gel formula designed for quick, easy subfloor installations and general OSB/plywood use. The foam collapses to a gel after application, then expands to fill gaps and irregularities, creating a strong, waterproof bond and preventing squeaky floors. It offers a strong initial tack and excellent bond strength, forming a permanent, flexible bond that reduces nailing. The gun-applied foam allows for adjustable, easy control and provides more coverage than traditional cartridge adhesives, helping limit waste and reducing product needed per job. It is covered under the 15 Year Bronze Subfloor Warranty against subfloor squeaks and pops. Application Guidelines

  • Application Temperature: 40°F to 100°F. Approved for use at outside temperature of 0°F while maintaining a chemical and can temperature between 40°F and 115°F.
  • Service Temperature Range: -20°F to 250°F
  • Working Time: Approximately 10-20 minutes.
  • Prep: Product is extremely flammable during dispensing. Read cautions carefully. Surfaces must be clean and free of any material that may prevent adequate adhesion. Wear protective glasses or goggles, nitrile gloves and clothing that protects against dermal exposure. Use only in a well-ventilated area.
  • Application: Screw can onto gun coupling until it will go no further. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Grip can and gun with both hands and shake vigorously for 30-60 seconds. Adjust bead with gun regulator screw to produce between 1/4’’ to 1/2’’ bead. Apply adhesive to each furring strip, stud or floor joist to be covered. Adhere materials within 10-20 minutes based on environmental conditions. Position materials to be bonded and press firmly for full contact with adhesive. Note: For subfloors, apply adhesive to joists for one sheet at a time. Apply enough adhesive to joists to allow for full coverage and sufficient squeeze out when panels are placed. Nail or screw each sheet as recommended by the American Plywood Association.
  • Cleanup: Uncured adhesive may be removed with Titebond Foam Cleaner. If dried, removal will require scraping or other mechanical means.
  • Storage: To store for short periods of time, close gun regulator screw completely to secure trigger. Can MUST remain fastened to gun during storage. Store upright in a dry area and use remainder of can within 30 days. If can is removed, replace with cleaner or another adhesive can immediately and spray enough cleaner or adhesive to remove any air that entered the gun. Failure to remove this air will cause residual adhesive in the gun to cure and can lead to gun failure.
