TITEBOND TITESHIELD SEALANT
Titebond TiteShield Sealant is a high performance, multi-purpose, elastomeric sealant that provides a weatherproof shield against the elements. It is ideal for windows, doors, siding, trim and most construction and repair applications. This VOC-compliant, low odor formula remains flexible and will not crack or get brittle with age. It can fill gaps up to 2” wide, expand and contract up to 50% of joint size and will not sag or drool due to the non-stringing formula. <br /><br /><small>*Color samples are digitally produced to best match product color. Actual product color may vary from the color shown. Product color may vary when wet but will achieve proper color when dry after 24 hours.</small>

Application Guidelines

- Application Temperature: Above 40°F (4°C)
- Service Temperature Range: -25°F to 180°F (-31°C to 82°C) white and colors, 0°F to 160°F (-18°C to 71°C) clear
- Method of Application: Cartridge/caulking gun
- Working Time: Approximately 10-15 minutes for a 1/4" bead
- Application Directions: 1. Surfaces must be clean and free of any material that may prevent adequate adhesion. Properly designed joint not to exceed 1/2” in depth. 2. Cut tip at 45° angle for 1/8” to 1/2” bead and place in cartridge gun. 3. Apply sealant into clean joint. If necessary, smooth bead immediately. It is the sole responsibility of the user to thoroughly test any proposed use with all substrates to determine project suitability.
- Painting: The sealant should be dry to the touch and ready to paint in 2-4 hours with a water-based (latex) paint that does not contain plasticizer. Clear is paintable in 4-6 hours.
- Cleanup: Clean uncured material with water. After curing, excess caulk must be cut or scraped away.

Limitations
Not designed for continuous submersion or use below the waterline. May cause temporary staining on porous stone; test before use. Air, sealant and surface temperature should be above 40°F. Do not apply if rain is expected within 12 hours. Clear sealant will be white during application but will clear within 7-14 days. Cure time is dependent upon ambient conditions including temperature and humidity. The sealant should be dry to the touch and ready to paint in 2-4 hours with a water-based (latex) paint that does not contain plasticizer. Clear is paintable in 4-6 hours. For other paint types, a compatibility test is recommended. It is highly recommended to use backing material. This product is freeze/thaw stable. Sealant may appear to have a different tint/color when initially extruded until it is fully dried/cured. For best results, store in a dry location at or below 75°F. Storage at temperatures above 120°F (48.9°C) may cause a reaction in the sealant resulting in a granulated texture.
