Working Surfaces
For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from any material that may deter adhesion.
Cleanup
Clean tools and excess material with mineral spirits before it dries. Scrape dried excess. Follow solvent vendor’s precautions when using solvents.
Titebond Roof Cement should be applied when surface temperatures are between 50° and 120°F. In colder weather (50°F and below) product should be stored inside between 70°F and 80°F for 24 hours prior to application. Allow product to cure between 30 and 60 days prior to application of reflective coating. Do not apply to plastic, EPDM, Hypalon or similar type of synthetic rubber roof systems. If there is a question on compatibility, test a small area first before application to entire surface area. DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO HEAT /FLAMES. Do Not Thin. WARNING: COMBUSTIBLE LIQUID AND VAPOR. VAPORS HARMFUL. Contains mineral spirits and asphalt. Keep away from heat, sparks, flame and other combustible materials. Use only with positive cross ventilation. Maintain ventilation until solvent dissipates. Do not use in confined areas. Use this product only if adequate ventilation can be used and maintained. Avoid breathing vapors. High vapor concentrations are irritating to the nose, throat, and respiratory system. Prolonged or repeated overexposure to solvents in product can cause central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, eye, skin, liver, kidney or respiratory system effects. Causes eye and skin irritation. Harmful if swallowed. As when working with any solvent based material, appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, should be worn. FIRST AID: If dizziness or respiratory difficulty occurs, remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention if breathing difficulty continues. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately. If eye contact occurs, flush eyes with water for 15 minutes and consult physician. For skin contact, wash with soap and water.
