Application Guidelines

Application Temperature Over 50°F. for adhesive and substrates

Service Temperature Range 0°F. to 120°F.

Method of Application Mason’s trowel

Working Surfaces Surfaces must be dry and free from any material that may deter adhesion. Using the "butter" method, spread a thin layer of adhesive to cover a large area of each corner of the tile. Then apply adhesive in 1"to 1 1/2"mounds (golf ball size). Place mounds 2-3 inches in from the corners on the back of the tile. Immediately press tile into position, working the tile back and forth 1/2" to flatten the mounds of adhesive. Adhesive must be flattened to a mound 3/16" to 3/8" thick and 2 1/2" in diameter. When installing interlocking tile, do not slide tile into groove of adjacent tile until it has been positioned to its proper level.

Cleanup Tools and excess adhesive may be cleaned with water while the adhesive is wet. If dried, tools and adhesive may be cleaned with mineral spirits or equivalent solvent. Follow solvent vendor's precautions when using solvents. NOTE: Test solvent on an out-of-the-way area to make sure it will not mar or attack the surface.

Coverage 50-60 sq. ft. of ceiling tile per gallon.
