Titebond Adds Two Essential Tools to Wood Glue Line

Easy-to-clean Titebrush features 100% silicone bristles plus a paddle end for small joints and moldings. Titewrap is a stretchable tape for clamping wood projects, including irregular joints or hard-to-clamp pieces. It adheres only to itself and won’t stick to or damage wood.

Titebond has looked beyond its glues to serve woodworkers’ needs with the introduction of two practical woodworking accessories designed to enhance glue application and clamping: Titebrush, to easily spread woodworking and polyurethane glues, and Titewrap, a stretchable tape that can eliminate the need for traditional clamps.

Titebrush offers key advantages over the waste of disposable brushes as a durable, easy-to-clean tool that spreads glue easily whether for large or small applications. The bristles are 100% silicone; woodworkers can wash them in warm water, or just riffle or peel off the dried glue. The sturdy plastic handle also features a paddle end for fine details, mortise and tenon joints, dovetails, fingers joints and moldings.

Titebond Titewrap and TitebrushTitewrap could be to woodworking what painters tape is to painting. It can replace the need for traditional clamps and is especially useful for holding in place irregular joints or pieces that are difficult to clamp. The woodworker just stretches the ¾-inch-wide tape around the project to secure it as the glue dries. The tape sticks only to itself – not to the wood; it will not damage the wood’s surface. Once the glue cures, the wrap is removed and can be rewound onto the roll for reuse if desired.

The tape can stretch up to 300% its original size to ensure a tight hold and works in high heat or damp conditions. A five-year shelf life (from date of manufacture) when stored at room temperature makes it easy to keep Titewrap on hand.

Titebrush and Titewrap are sold separately at select hardware and home-improvement stores as well as specialty woodworking stores. More product information is available at www.titebond.com.
