Titebond Professional Tub Surround Adhesive offers a strong bond yet is safe on plastics and foamboard. It is specifically formulated for the installation of PVC, HIP and ABS tub surrounds. It also offers excellent adhesion to wood, drywall, metal, hardboard and many other construction materials.

Titebond Professional Tub Surround Adhesive exceeds the performance requirements of ASTM C557 and ANSI A136.1 Type I and II water-resistance. It also offers a long working time that allows the precise positioning of the tub surround.

Working time Approximately 45 minutes for a 1/4"" bead
Working surfaces Surfaces must be clean and free of any material that may deter adhesion. For large-panel applications, apply adhesive to panel perimeter and on 16" centers or a cross pattern to assure maximum adhesion.
Cleanup Scrape off dried excess with a putty knife. Remove residue with mineral spirits or equivalent solvent. Follow solvent vendor’s precautions when using solvents. NOTE: Test solvent on an out-of-the-way area to make sure it will not mar or attack the surface.

  • Limitations Do not apply to polystyrene foam if temperature is greater than 90°F. Do not bond tubkit over ceramic tile or other non-porous substrates since this will slow or prevent drying. Bracing may be necessary to ensure proper bonding. For best results, store Titebond Professional Tub Surround Adhesive above 50°F.
    Caution Statement DANGER: EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. VAPOR HARMFUL. Contains hexane and isopropyl alcohol. Do not use near heat, sparks or flame. Use only with positive cross ventilation. Avoid breathing vapors. Do not swallow. Do not allow eye contact or prolonged skin contact. Uncured product can cause eye or skin irritation. Prolonged or repeated overexposure to solvent in uncured product can cause central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, eye, skin or respiratory system effects. First Aid: If dizziness or other adverse effects are experienced, move to fresh air; contact physician immediately. If eye contact occurs, flush eyes with water for 15 minutes; contact physician immediately. Wash skin contact areas with soap and water; contact physician if irritation persists.
